Butler County Family Group Decision Making
Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) is a strengths-based, voluntary process recognizing that an individual’s family is comprised of different members and supports throughout the community. These supports formally come together to address and overcome identified barriers. Services are for anyone in Butler County You can call and speak with CCR Staff to initiate communication and connect to services, determine issues to be addressed, and identify family members that should be included in your support system.

The CCR FGDM Staff will:
Establish your support system members.
Schedule a meeting with you and your support system members with a catered meal.
Work with you and your support system members to establish rules and roles.
Identify barriers to your solutions.
Facilitate a positive collaboration to identify possible solutions. Know only what you want them to know.
Help families to identify and focus on their strengths.
Empower families by offering options instead of advice or demands.
Ensure that every family member has a voice in resolving identified concerns.
Hold a follow-up meeting to ensure the plan is appropriate.
